In this study, it was aimed to determine the propagation characteristics of Prunus arabica O. by seed and cuttings. The material of the study consisted of seeds and cuttings taken from trees of Prunus arabica O. species that naturally grow in Kâhta District of Adıyaman Province. The study was conducted under temperature and humidity controlled greenhouse conditions, the seeds were directly sown without any stratification and hormonal application and followed to germination percentages. The perlite was used for rooting of cuttings and rooting percentages were determined by treating different doses of Indole Butyric Acid and Acetylsalicylic Acid. The germination rate of seeds belonging to Prunus arabica O. species varied between 55-65%. The germination rate of all seeds collected from 7 types belonging to Prunus arabica O. was found higher than Prunus dulcis var. amara. While the highest callus was obtained from 1000 ppm IBA application with 73.30%, the lowest callus formation was obtained from 50 ppm ASA application. It was determined in cuttings that applied only 1000 and 2000 ppm IBA 3.30% and 2.70% rooting, respectively. While ASA and IBA applications significantly increased callus formation in Prunus arabica O. species, the rooting was seen only in IBA applicated trees.
