KURUMLARDA FARKINDALIK (MINDFULNESS) ÇALIŞMALARI

Abstract

Farkındalık, düşüncelerin, duyguların, bedensel ve çevresel duyumların an be an farkında olma halini ifade etmektedir. Kişi bu şekilde yararsız düşünce ve davranışlara takılı kalmamayı öğrenebilir, kendisine ve başkalarına karşı daha olumlu ve şefkatli tutumlar geliştirebilir. Bu anlamda farkındalık bir var olma biçimi, dikkati şimdiki ana vermenin bir yoludur. Birçok kurum ve kuruluşun, farkındalık uygulamalarının çalışanların refahına, genel üretkenliğine ve performansına olumlu etkileri olabileceğini fark etmesi, farkındalığın son yıllarda iş yerlerine dahil edilmesine yol açmıştır. İşyerinde farkındalık, farkındalık temelli eğitim programları, meditasyon seansları, nefes egzersizleri ve günlük rutinlere ve iş süreçlerine farkındalık uygulamaları gibi çeşitli formlarda olabilmektedir. Bu uygulamalar, çalışanlara daha fazla öz farkındalık geliştirmeleri, stresi daha etkili bir şekilde yönetmeleri ve genel dayanıklılıklarını geliştirmeleri için araçlar ve teknikler sunmaktadır. Aynı zamanda organizasyonlar, farkındalığı iş yerlerine dahil ederek çalışanlarının duygu-yönetimi, etkili iletişim kurma ve iş birliğini oluşturma gibi becerilerini geliştirmeyi hedeflemekte böylece pozitif bir çalışma ortamın oluşumunu sağlamaya çalışmaktadırlar. Farkındalık uygulamaları çalışanların değişime uyum sağlama, çatışmaları yönetme ve bilinçli kararlar verme becerilerini geliştirerek iş tatmini ve performansının artmasına yol açtığı için önemli ve incelenmesi gereken bir konudur. Bu bağlamda yapılandırılan bu kavramsal makale farkındalık çalışmalarını ilgili alan yazın ışığında kapsamlı bir şekilde ele alarak, tanımını, farkındalık uygulamalarını, bu uygulamaların kuruma adaptasyonunu ve farkındalık çalışmalarına gelen çeşitli eleştirileri içermektedir. Türkiye bağlamına vurgusu ile, çeşitli kültürel ortamlarda farkındalık üzerine yapılan çalışmaların gelişmesine katkıda bulunmakta, kurumlarda farkındalık çalışmalarının inceleneceği gelecekteki çalışmalara kaynak oluşturması amaçlanmaktadır.
