Chaos Theory and Applications (CHTA), in addition, to publishing scientific research, offers this research free of charge by adopting the principle that providing information free of charge will increase its global sharing and the policy of providiing open access. Moreover, it provides instant open access to its content. 

The journal is an open-access journal, which is means that all content is freely available to users and their institutions. Users may read, download, copy, search, or provide links to the full text of papers in this journal without permission from the publisher or the authors and except for commercial purposes. They can also rearrange them, provided that the original work is properly cited.

The journal's publication model is based on Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) declaration, and the CHTA has also signed the BOAI.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content under a CC BY-NC licence (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International Licence) since 2019, on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
