Analysis of Criteria Affecting The Food Transportion İndustry

Year 2021, Issue: 58, 353 - 366, 30.04.2021

Abstract

Food safety is a significant problem concern in business. Companies show great effort to
transport food safely and to minimize food losses. The purpose of this study is aimed to determine the
criteria that affect the food transportation process. These criteria were determined with the literature
research and expert opinions, and were analyzed and ranked using the analytical hierarchy process (AHS)
method, which is a widely used multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method. Among the determining
factors, vehicle suitability and safety, compliance with the ATP (The Agreement on the International
Carriage of Perishable Foodstuff and on the Special Equipment to be used for such Carriage) convention,
selection of software used for transportation coordination are essential success criteria. With the proposed
criteria, the characteristics that companies engaged in food transportation should have were tried to be
determined and the company managers were tried to help long-term plan strategies

Gıda Taşımacılığı Sektörünü Etkileyen Kriterlerin Analizi

Year 2021, Issue: 58, 353 - 366, 30.04.2021
https://doi.org/10.18070/erciyesiibd.869416
