Examination of Pregnancy's Emotional Status and Life Satisfaction

Abstract

Aim: The study was conducted to determine the relationship between depression, anxiety and stress levels and life satisfaction in pregnant women.
Method: This descriptive cross-sectional study was completed with 375 pregnant women between 12.07.2021 and 24.12.2021 in the obstetrics clinic of a university hospital in the Eastern Anatolia Region. Study data were collected face-to-face using the Introductory Information Form, the Life Satisfaction Scale, and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale. Data analysis Number, percentage, mean and standard deviation Cronbach's alpha coefficient and Pearson's correlation analysis tests were used in SPSS 24 program and p<0,05 was accepted as significance.
Results: It was determined that 13,6% of the pregnant women experienced mild depression, 56,8% had very severe anxiety and 21,9% had moderate stress. A significant negative correlation was found between depression and stress and life satisfaction in pregnant women (p < 0,05).
Conclusion: As a result of the research, it was determined that depression, anxiety and stress affect life satisfaction in pregnant women.

Gebelerin Emosyonel Durumları ile Yaşam Memnuniyetlerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Araştırma gebelerde depresyon, anksiyete ve stress düzeyleri ile yaşam memnuniyeti arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.
Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı-kesitsel nitelikteki bu araştırma, 12.07.2021-24.12.2021 tarihleri arasında 375 gebe ile Doğu Anadolu Bölgesinde yer alan bir üniversite hastanesinde yer alan kadın doğum polikliniğinde tamamlanmıştır. Çalışma verileri Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu, Yaşam Memnuniyeti ölçeği ve Depresyon Anksiyete Stres Ölçeği kullanılarak yüz yüze toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizi SPSS 24 programında sayı, yüzde, ortalama ve standart sapma cronbach alfa katsayısı ve Pearson'ın korelasyon analiz testleri kullanılmış ve p<0,05 anlamlılık olarak kabul edilmiştir.
Bulgular: Gebelerin %13,6'sının hafif düzeyde depresyon, %56,8'inin çok ileri düzeyde anksiyete ve %21,9'unun orta düzeyde stres yaşadığı belirlenmiştir. Gebelerde depresyon ve stresle yaşam memnuniyeti arasında negatif yönde anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. (p < 0,05).
Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda gebelerde depresyon, anksiyete ve stresin yaşam memnuniyetini etkilediği belirlenmiştir.
