Ethics Committee Approval and/or Legal/Special Permission


• The articles must state whether an ethical committee approval and/or legal/special permission is required or not. If these approvals are required, then it should be clearly presented from which institution, on what date, and with which decision or number these approvals are obtained.
• For the studies that require ethical committee approval and/or legal/special permission, information about the approval and/or permission (Board Name, Date, and Issue Number) should be given in the methodology section and also on the first/last page of the article.
• The authors should obtain the relevant documents for their studies that require ethics committee approval and submit these approval documents to the system together with their study.
• Obtaining ethics committee approval is required for studies and research that use human and animal subjects (including materials/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes.
• If the study involves the use of human or animal subjects, then it must be stated that the study has been carried out in accordance with the standards in the international declaration, guidance, etc.
• Ethics committee approval must have been obtained separately for the research in all disciplines, including social sciences, and for clinical and experimental studies on human and animal subjects that require an ethical committee decision. These approvals must be clearly presented and documented in the study.
• Ethics Committee Approval and/or Legal/Special Permission is required for all kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants through survey, interview, focus group work, observation, experiment, and interview techniques.
• For the case reports, the study should include the information that informed consent form from the volunteers has been collected.
• If the study involves the use of a scale, questionnaire, and photographs that belong to others, then permission for the use of these items must be obtained from the owners and must be specified in the relevant study.
• Ethics Committee Approval and/or Legal/Special Permission is required for retrospective studies by the law on the protection of personal data.
• The study should include the statement that copyright regulations are observed for the ideas and works of art used.
