ORESTE Method in Fuzzy Decision-Making Problems and a Solution Proposal

Abstract

Decision-making process proceeds based on subjective values when precise numerical information is not available. In such cases, using fuzzy set theory together with the decision-making process provides more effective decisions. For this, many fuzzy decision making methods have been proposed in the literature. However, the use of these methods can be complex and difficult in some cases. In this study, it is proposed to apply the ORESTE (Organization, Rangement Et Synthese De Donnes Relationnelles) method, one of the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods, to the fuzzy decision making problem. Since the ORESTE method only considers the ordering of alternatives and criteria, it has been determined that it can also be applied to problems involving linguistic data. The aim is to facilitate the solution of fuzzy decision making problems with this method. In order to determine the solution efficiency, the ORESTE method was applied to the fuzzy decision making problem in order picking systems where the demand is uncertain.

Bulanık karar verme problemlerinde ORESTE yöntemi ve bir çözüm önerisi

Abstract

Karar verme süreci, kesin sayısal bilgiler olmadığında sübjektif değerlere dayalı ilerlemektedir. Bu gibi durumlarda bulanık küme teorisini karar verme süreci ile beraber kullanmak, daha etkin kararlar verilmesini sağlamaktadır. Bunun için literatürde pek çok bulanık karar verme yöntemleri önerilmiştir. Ancak, bu yöntemlerin kullanılması bazı durumlarda karmaşık ve zor olabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, bulanık karar verme problemine Çok Ölçütlü Karar Verme (ÇÖKV) yöntemlerinden ORESTE (Organization, Rangement Et Synthese De Donnes Relationnelles) yönteminin uygulanması önerilmiştir. ORESTE yöntemi, sadece alternatiflerin ve kriterlerin sıralamasını dikkate aldığı için dilsel veri içeren problemlere de uygulanabileceği tespit edilmiştir. Amaç, bu yöntemle bulanık karar verme problemlerinin çözümünü kolaylaştırmaktır. Çözüm etkinliğini tespit etmek amacıyla talebin belirsiz olduğu sipariş toplama sistemlerinde bulanık karar verme problemine ORESTE yöntemi uygulanmıştır.
