Abstract

Bu çalışma 2003-2007 yılları arasında, Beykoz kent ve çevresinde yayılış gösteren doğal vasküler bitkilerin floristik yönden incelenmesini ortaya koymaktadır. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda alanda, 81 familya ve 259 cinse ait toplam 431 takson tespit edilmiştir. En çok takson içeren familya Fabaceae (63 takson-% 14.62) ve en çok takson içeren cins ise Trifolium (27 takson-% 6.26)’dur. Fitocoğrafik orjinler bazında değerlendirildiğinde Akdeniz (52 takson-% 12.06) ve Avrupa-Sibirya (46 takson-% 10.67)’ya ait floristik bölge elementleri ön plana çıkmaktadır. Ayrıca çalışma alanında 6 endemik ve 3 nadir bitki taksonu tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, yakın alanlarda yapılmış kent flora çalışmaları ile kıyaslanarak tartışılmıştır

Urban Vascular Flora of Beykoz (Istanbul) and Its Surroundings

Abstract

This study deals with aspects of floristic vascular plants and characteristics of their habitat in Beykoz (Istanbul). The study was performed in the period of 2003-2007. At the end of the study, total of 431 taxa belonging to 259 genera and 81 families were identified. The largest numbers of plant taxa were in Fabaceae (63 takson-14.62%) family and Trifolium genera had the highest number of plant species comprising 6.26% (27) of flora taxa. Based on the evaluation phytogeographic origins, floristic regions of Mediterranean (52 taxa-12.06%) and Euro-Siberian (46 taxa-10.67%) elements come into prominance in the study area. In addition, 6 endemic and 2 rare plant taxa were identified in this study. The outputs of this study were compared and discussed with other similar urban flora studies
