Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeğinin Türk Kültürüne Uyarlanması: Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Öz

Objective: This study aimed to translate, adapt, and assess the validity and reliability of the "Love Addiction Inventory" and "Love Addiction Self-assessment" developed by Costa et al. into Turkish for measuring love addiction..
Method: Data for the Love Addiction Scale and the Love Addiction Scale Short Form were collected from two separate study groups. For the Love Addiction Scale, measurements were gathered from 694 individuals aged between 18 and 50 (mean age = 25.50). For the Love Addiction Scale Short Form, data were collected from 485 individuals aged between 18 and 50 (mean age = 26.04). The research utilized the Love Addiction Scale, Young Internet Addiction Test Short Form, Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale, and Love Addiction Scale Short Form as data collection instruments.
Results: The Turkish adaptation of the Love Addiction Scale, initially comprising six factors, revealed six distinct sub-factors. Internal consistency coefficients for these sub-factors ranged from .90 to .97, Amaç: Bu çalışmada Costa ve arkadaşları tarafından sevgi bağımlılığını ölçmek amacıyla geliştirilen “Love Addiction Inventory” ve “Love Addiction Self-assessment” Türkçeye çeviri, uyarlanma, geçerliğini ve güvenirliğini test etmek amaçlanmıştır.
Yöntem: Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeği ve Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeği-Kısa Formu için iki ayrı çalışma grubundan ölçümler elde edilmiştir. Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeği için elde edilen veri setinde; katılımcılar yaşları 18-50 yaş aralığında olan (Ortalama=25,50) 694 bireyden oluşmaktadır. Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeği-Kısa Formu için elde edilen veri setinde katılımcılar yaşları18-50 (Ortalamā=26,04) aralığında olan 485 bireyden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama araçları olarak Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeği, Young İnternet Bağımlılığı Testi Kısa Formu, Bergen Sosyal Medya Bağımlılığı Ölçeği ve Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeği-Kısa Formu kullanılmıştır.
Bulgular: Orijinalinde altı faktörlü bir ölçek olan Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeği Türkçe uyarlamasının altı alt faktörden oluştuğu bulgusu elde edilmiştir. Ölçeğin altı alt faktörünün Cronbach Alfa ve McDonalds Omega katsayılarının ,90-,97 arasında değiştiği ve sonucu elde edilmiştir. Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeği-Kısa Formu orijinalinde olduğu gibi tek alt boyuttan oluştuğu bulunmuştur ve Cronbach Alfa ve McDonalds Omega katsayıları ,87 olarak elde edilmiştir. Ölçeklerin eş geçerliği Young İnternet Bağımlılığı Testi Kısa Formu ve Bergen Sosyal Medya Bağımlılığı Ölçeği ile test edilmiş ve anlamlı sonuçlar bulunmuştur.
Sonuç: Bu araştırmada Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeği ve Sevgi Bağımlılığı Ölçeği-Kısa Formunun Türk kültüründe kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğunu sonucu elde edilmiştir ve bu ölçeklerin sevgi bağımlılığına sebep olan faktörlerin Türk Kültüründe incelenebilmesi için önemlidir.

Adaptation of Love Addiction Inventory to Turkish Culture: A Validity and Reliability Study

For the Love Addiction Scale Short Form, data were collected from 485 individuals aged between 18 and 50 (mean age = 26.04). The research utilized the Love Addiction Scale, Young Internet Addiction Test Short Form, Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale, and Love Addiction Scale Short Form as data collection instruments.
Results: The Turkish adaptation of the Love Addiction Scale, initially comprising six factors, revealed six distinct sub-factors. Internal consistency coefficients for these sub-factors ranged from .90 to .97, indicating strong reliability. Similarly, the Love Addiction Scale-Short Form retained its single subscale structure from the original version, with an internal consistency coefficient of .87. Co-validity assessments with the Young Internet Addiction Test Short Form and the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale yielded significant findings, affirming the validity of the scales.
Conclusion: This study's findings affirm that both the Love Addiction Scale and its Short Form are valid and reliable instruments for assessing love addiction within Turkish culture. These scales play a crucial role in exploring the underlying factors contributing to love addiction specifically in the Turkish context.
