Bibliometric Analysis of Articles Published in the Field of Tourist Guidance in Turkey

Öz

Purpose and Importance: The purpose of this research is to carry out a bibliometric analysis of articles published on the subject of tourist guidance on the "Google Scholar" platform. Carrying out bibliometric analysis of articles published in the field of tourist guidance is important in terms of contributing to the academic development of the field of tourist guidance.

Methodology: The research is a quantitative research and bibliometric analysis was carried out. 347 articles that were scanned and accessed by searching the words "tourism guidance, tourist guidance" on the "Google Scholar" platform between October 2022 and January 2023 were included in the bibliometric analysis.

Findings: The number of articles published in the field of tourist guidance has started to increase since 2012. The keyword "tourist guide" was used most frequently in the articles. The most articles were published by Özlem Köroğlu. The most studied subject is tourist guide training.

Originality/Value: The research is original in terms of presenting data on the development process of articles published in the field of tourist guidance originating from Turkey and has the potential to provide ideas for new studies to be conducted in the field.

Türkiye’de Turist Rehberliği Alanında Yayımlanan Makalelerin Bibliyometrik Analizi

Öz

Amaç ve Önem: Bu araştırmanın amacı, “Google Akademik” platformunda yer alan turist rehberliği konusunda yayımlanmış makalelerin bibliyometrik analizini gerçekleştirmektir. Turist rehberliği alanında yayımlanan makalelerin bibliyometrik analizini gerçekleştirmek, turist rehberliği alanının akademik gelişimine katkı yapması açısından önemlidir.

Yöntem: Araştırma nicel bir araştırma olup, bibliyometrik analiz gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ekim 2022- Ocak 2023 arasında “Google Akademik” platformunda “turizm rehberliği, turist rehberliği” anahtar kelimeleri aratılarak taranan ve erişilebilen 347 makale bibliyometrik analize dahil edilmiştir.

Bulgular: Turist rehberliği alanında yayımlanan makalelerin sayısı 2012 yılından itibaren artmaya başlamıştır. Makalelerde en çok “turist rehberi” anahtar kelimesine yer verilmiştir. En fazla makale Özlem Köroğlu tarafından yayımlanmıştır. En fazla çalışılan konu turist rehberliği eğitimidir.

Özgünlük/Bilimsel Katkı: Araştırma, turist rehberliği alanında Türkiye kökenli yayımlanan makalelerin gelişim sürecine ilişkin veri sunması açısından özgün olup alanda yapılacak yeni çalışmalara yönelik fikir verme potansiyeline sahiptir.
