Important Announcement: The DergiPark Participation Agreement Has Been Updated

The updated “DergiPark Participation Agreement,” revised in line with the enacted DergiPark policies, has been defined for the Coordinator of Scientific Publishing Panel of all journals.The agreements must be signed with an e-signature between July 24 and October 31, 2026.As of November 1, 2026, the issue publication and article submission pages for journals whose agreements have not been signed will be closed.Points to Consider Before SigningAuthority Check: The authorization status of the person signing the agreement with an e-signature on DergiPark must exactly match the institutional authorization. Signatures from individuals who have not received formal authorization from their institution will not be accepted.Publisher Type: Authorization steps and methods vary depending on the publisher type (University, Association, Foundation, Public Institution, etc.). To avoid disruptions, please be sure to review the current authorization steps appropriate for your publisher type.Information Match: The Turkish ID (T.C. Kimlik) and first/last name information in the Coordinator of Scientific Publishing account must be the same as the information of the e-signature owner. If this information does not match, the agreement will be deemed invalid.Steps to be TakenCheck the authorization requirements for your publisher type via the link above.If institutional authorization is complete, log in to your Coordinator of Scientific Publishing Panel..Approve the New DergiPark Participation Agreement with an e-signature.Note: Your journal will be able to continue all operations without interruption once the agreement status reaches the "Awaiting ULAKBİM Signature" stage.We kindly request that the guiding steps specified in this announcement be followed for a seamless process.

The new design of the DergiPark

The new design of the DergiPark homepage went live on May 5, 2026. With the launch of this design, the “DergiPark Policy” has been implemented. This policy establishes the fundamental principles, rules, and responsibilities applicable to academic journals, publishers, and users on the platform. All users must accept this document in order to perform any actions.Journal submissions that meet the conditions announced with the new interface have begun to be accepted.All journals that did not select one of the newly launched journal designs have been automatically assigned the “Efes” interface. The old interface has been discontinued as it was not compliant with WCAG standards.

How do I apply to become a publisher?

What are the powers and duties of the Editor-in-Chief?

The Chief Editor is the person responsible for filling in the mandatory fields for a journal after submission on DergiPark and managing the journal's publication process; they are responsible for the accuracy of technical/mandatory information such as the archive and e-ISSN, and for editing the content of the journal's main page. The Editor-in-Chief cannot appoint a new editor-in-chief, cannot resign from their role, and performs editorial duties related to the journal. Chief Editor Authority and Responsibilities

How do I submit a journal application?

A new journal application on DergiPark is made by filling out the relevant form from the publisher coordinator (BYK) panel, and a chief editor is appointed; after the application is evaluated, the system sends a notification via email. Once the mandatory fields for new journals are completed and the necessary contracts are signed, the journal is moved to “in press” status, and criteria such as archiving conditions and ISSN requirements must be met. How do you organize the journal home page?

On the journal homepage editing section, basic information such as your journal's purpose and scope, writing guidelines, publication policy, fee policy, journal languages, and topics, as well as visual elements (cover image, etc.) are entered and updated in the system. This information is edited by the chief editor or authorized editor via the DergiPark management panel and ensures that your journal is presented correctly to readers.
