Bio

Mr. Almighty C. Tabuena, LPT, PMEC, MA, MEd, MPM, EdD, PhD, MAEd (CAR), PhD (h.c.), DHum (h.c.), DMA (h.c.), is presently a Lecturer at the College of Arts and Sciences, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (University of the City of Valenzuela), Valenzuela City, Philippines. He recently obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Leadership Major in Humanities at West Visayas School of Theology (Philippines) in January 2024. He also gained his Doctor of Education (EdD) in General Education and his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Humanities Education in 2023. He graduated Cum Laude from the Philippine Normal University, Manila, Philippines, in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, Major in Music Education. He successfully completed all academic requirements for his Master of Arts in Education with a Specialization in Music Education at the same university. He also obtained his Master of Arts in Humanities Major in Music and Art Studies degree at Oceania Polytechnic and Technological University, Niue, New Zealand, in 2021; his Master of Education degree at Harvest Mission International University, Amarillo, Texas, USA, in 2022; and his Master of Arts in Social Sciences degree at the School of Business and Trade in Lucerne, Switzerland, in 2023. Furthermore, he is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Project Management (Master in Project Management) at the Universidad Internacional Isabel I de Castilla (Universidad Isabel I) in Burgos, Spain, and his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education Major in Educational Management at the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, Las Piñas City, Philippines.


In March 2021, he received an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Education degree, honoris causa, from Theophany University, Haiti. He also received other honorary degrees, such as a Master of Arts in Pop Cultural Studies and a Doctor of Philosophy in Generic Studies in January 2023, a Doctor of Humanity (DHum) in July 2023, a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Research and Evaluation, a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management, a Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities and Social Sciences, and a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in September 2023. In 2020, he obtained a Professional Certificate in Educational Research from the European International University, France, and in 2021, he attended a Master Class in Teaching Research at De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines. His research primarily focuses on action research, assessment and evaluation, culture and the arts, material development, educational research, and music. He has presented papers at institutional, local, and international conferences and published research articles in various local and international journals indexed in the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI), Web of Science (WoS), and Scopus.

Due to his dedication to research and education, he has been honored with several awards. He received recognition as the Luminary Outstanding Author from the Lumina Foundation for Integral Human Development, Inc. (LFIHD) in May 2023, the highest honor given by the committee to just one candidate among the Outstanding Author awardees. He was also awarded Outstanding Researcher, Outstanding Research Adviser, Outstanding Author, and Outstanding Educator of the Year. He also received the Philippines’ Man of Achievements and Most Outstanding Educator and Researcher of the Year awards from the Dangal ng Lahi Awards in April 2023. In 2021, he was awarded the Gold Medal for Policy Innovation and Research Excellence Award, and in 2017, he received the distinctions of Most Outstanding Research and Best in Action Research from the Philippine Normal University.

Dr. Tabuena holds several professional certifications, including being a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT), Project Management Essentials Certified (PMEC), Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certified (LSSWBC), Certified Associate in Scrum Fundamentals (CASF), ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Associate (ISA), and Certified Publons Academy Peer Reviewer. He is an Associate Member (Division VIII—Social Sciences) of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) and a member of various organizations, such as the Philippine Society of Music Education (PSME), the Center for Professional Advancement and Continuing Education (CPACE), and the Philippine Association of Physics and Science Instructors (PAPSI), all based in the Philippines.

Currently, he serves as the President and CEO of Academic Course Tutorial Online Education Inc. in the Philippines. Additionally, he is a full-time faculty member teaching research courses in the Senior High School, High School Department at Espiritu Santo Parochial School of Manila, Inc., Manila, Philippines. Furthermore, he is also invited as a resource speaker in different seminars related to education, music, and research and contributes to various international journals as a reviewer and editorial board member. Notably, he is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Academic and Practical Research (IJAAPR), which holds ISSNs 2980-4116 (print) and 2980-4124 (online). Besides his academic pursuits, he is also actively involved as the choir director, pianist, composer, and arranger of Koro De Hombres, a male-group choir established in Manila, Philippines, in 2015.
