Osman Birol Ozgumus currently works at the Department of Medical Microbiology, Recep Tayyip Erdogan University Faculty of Medicine. Currently, I interest in the molecular epidemiology of coliforms of both the clinical and environmental origin. I screen the genes coding for the resistance to the clinically important antibiotics in these bacteria. I'm working on now the investigation on the integron gene cassettes in enterobacteria of the amphibian flora origin.
