Gümüşhane Şehir Merkezinden Geçen Karayolunda Ağır Metal Kirliliğine Ait İlk Bulgular

Abstract

Gümüşhane, coğrafik ve jeolojik konumu nedeniyle yoğun trafik, endüstri ve ısınma gibi birçok yönden ağır metal kirliliği riskini taşımaktadır. Bu kapsamda şehir merkezinden geçen karayolu üzerinde, bölgedeki trafik yoğunluğu ve şehirleşmeye bağlı olarak ağır metal kirliliğinin tespit edilmesine yönelik çevre jeokimyası çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu amaçla karayolu boyunca belirli noktalardan toplam 22 adet toprak örneği alınarak, karayolu üzerindeki Cr, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn ve Pb elementlerinin konsantrasyonları, kirlilik derecesinin tespitinde kullanılan zenginleşme faktörü EF ve jeo-birikim indeksi Igeo parametreleri yardımıyla incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar olarak karayolu üzerinde, yerleşimin de yoğun olduğu, kavşak ve araçların yoğun park edildiği bazı noktalarda özellikle Pb EF: 0.75-30.27; Igeo: 1.18-4.64 ve Zn EF: 1.93-2.16; Igeo: 1.872.16 elementlerince kirlilik derecesinde ağır metal konsantrasyonları tespit edilmiştir

Preliminary findings of heavy metal pollution on the road passing through Gümüşhane city center

Abstract

Gumushane city center is under the risk of heavy metal pollution caused by dence traffic, industry and heating activities since it is located at the bottom of Harsit valley surrounded by high hills and mountain chains. For this reason, a study on environmental geochemisty aiming to determine the level of heavy metal pollution caused by these activities were conducted the near vicinity of the main road passing through the city center. 22 soil samples were therefore collected from evenly distributed locations along the road. Then, concentrations of Cr, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Pb elements in the near vicinity of the road were investigated by geo-cummulation index Igeo and enrichment factors EF used for the determination of pollution level. As the conclution of this study, heavy metal concentrations such as Pb EF: 0.75-30.27; Igeo: 1.18-4.64 and Zn EF: 1.93-2.16; Igeo: 1.87-2.16 elements were observed at where dence residential areas, junctions with heavy traffic and dence car park areas are
