Plagiarism Screening

Journal of Steel Research and Development (JESRED) requests the authors to determine the similarity rate of the articles with the iThenticate program during the article upload stage in the editorial process. In this context, a Similarity report is created by comparing the publications uploaded to JESRED with iThenticate in national and international databases. In this report, the similarities of the publication content uploaded to the journal and the percentage similarity rate are given. The similarity rate in the report should not be more than 20% in accordance with our plagiarism policy determined by the JESRED Editorial Board. For articles with a similarity rate of more than 20%, the editor is requested to re-upload the publication by requesting a revision. Otherwise, the uploaded article will be rejected directly.

All authors are deemed to have accepted the above-mentioned JESRED rules. All responsibility belongs to the authors in case of observing the opposite of what is stated after the acceptance of the article.

The articles uploaded to JESRED are first reviewed in terms of content and shape by the editor or assistant editors. Then, the double-blind referee evaluation process is started and the publication is sent to two independent referees by the relevant editor or assistant. The referee's evaluations are reported to the author without specifying the identity of the referee, as minor/major revision, rejection, or acceptance. This entire process is carried out by the DergiPark system.
