AKTİF YAŞ ALMA: MÜZİK ETKİNLİKLERİNE KATILAN VE KATILMAYAN BİREYLERİN SOSYAL DESTEK, YALNIZLIK VE YAŞAM DOYUMU

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, aktif yaş alma bağlamında müzik etkinliğine katılan ve katılmayan 60 yaş ve üstü bireylerin sosyal destek, yalnızlık ve yaşam doyumları bakımından fark olup olmadığının incelenmesidir. Çalışmanın katılımcıları 60 yaş üstü bireylerden oluşmuş olup 60-84 yaşları arasında 65 (%41.7) kadın, 91(%58.3) erkek olmak üzere toplam 156 kişidir. Çalışmanın katılımcıları, Türkiye’nin batısında yer alan şehirlerde yaşayan bireylerdir. Çalışmanın verilerinin toplanmasında Algılanan Elde Edilebilir Destek Ölçeği (Schulz ve Schwarzer, 2003), Yaşlılarda Yalnızlık Ölçeği (Gierveld ve Kamphuis, 1985) ve Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği (Diener, Emmons, Larsem ve Griffen, 1985) kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca katılımcıların demografik özelliklerini ölçmek için kişisel bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada toplanan verilerin analizi için korelasyon, bağımsız t testi ve tek yönlü Varyans analizi ile test edilmiştir. Sonuçta, müzik etkinliklerine katılan bireylerin sosyal destek yalnızlık ve yaşam doyumu ölçek puanları bakımından anlamlı düzeyde fark bulunmuştur. Müzik etkinliğine katılan bireylerin müzik etkinliğine katılmayan bireylere göre sosyal destek ve yaşam doyum puanları daha yüksek olurken, yalnızlık ölçek puanları daha düşük olduğu kaydedilmiştir. Elde edilen bu sonuçlar bağlamında tartışma yürütülmüştür.
