About

■ The Turkish Journal of War Studies, which started its publishing life in 2020, is a peer-reviewed academic journal that includes scientific publications on the topics such as the causes, basic dynamics and national and international dimensions of the concept of armed conflict and war. In addition to theoretical and analytical studies, book reviews are also published in the journal.
■ The scope of the journal covers topics such as military history, political economy of political violence and sociocultural basis, geopolitics and military sociology, and other field studies related to war and conflict.
■ Although there is extensive literature on war studies in the international arena, there is a great gap in national literature. Thus, TJWS aims to fill that gapqualified academic studies. Moreover, bringing Turkish war studies into international literature is considered as another important contribution of the journal.
■ The journal is published two times a year and pieces in Turkish and English are accepted.

TJWS does not charge any fees for any of the article submission, evaluation, and publication processes.

All articles submitted to TJWS are checked by the iThenticate program. Any paper which shows obvious signs of plagiarism will be automatically rejected.
